- Cantilever: tie bed up; loosen cable clamps, loosen butterfly clamp inside winch box and remover cable. Reverse to install new cable.

- Hl; tie up bed;

- Winch cable: loosen butterfly clamp inside winch box, opposite side take off 1/2" nuts on adjustment bolt and pull cable through tube.

- Side cables: must remove pulley's inside of tubes. Pull cable through. Slide new cable through tube, replace pulley's, making sure to route the cable over pulleys correctly. End with adjustment bolt under pulley and up to bracket, end with loop over pulley and down to bracket.

The only wheel kit that is allowed to remain on after installation is the retractable wheel kit.

- Make sure all pulleys are moving freely, grease pulley's and cable. Check cable for frays, lubricate winch, winch wheel and output shaft.

- We have a patch kit that includes a piece of canvas according to your color, and some glue or we would be glad to repair it for you.

- Make sure ground fault breaker is reset.

- Make sure wire size is correct according to chart in assembly directions (voltage drop).

-Run the lift all the way up and down approximately 10 times, make sure when cylinders are out that there is 3" of oil in the reservoir. If there is still air, double check all hose fittings to see that they are tight.

- Check the hose fittings and make sure they are all tight.

- Up: is boat on far enough, weight equally distributed, is boat too heavy for lift, are all pulley's turning freely

- Down: is winch wheel backing off to allow brakes to release.

- Make sure clicker is engaged

- Check brake pads

- If glazed and worn, replace

- Make sure shipping cap is removed from winch wheel

- No - the wheels have no bearings

- The only lift that can upgrade the weight capacity is the 3000 lb. To 3600 lb. Using the double pulley conversion kit.

We at Hewitt can make a custom width lift for your needs, all we need is the width needed.

- The oil used is Hydro Safe, a totally biodegradable vegetable oil formulated from canola (rapeseed) oil, which exceeds the governments criteria of being “readily biodegradable.”

- On the winch upright or opposite front upright, there is a 1" x 4" sticker that tells the capacity, width and length.

- yes - it is available in these widths:

5"-7"- 10"-16"-19"

14 oz., 9x9 reinforced nylon (important as canvas ages)

Acetal delrin plastic - acetal is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer with a high melting point. It offers a high modulus of elasticity combined with great strength, stiffness and resistance to abrasion. Moisture has little to no effect on acetal resin, and because of this, the dimensional stability of close tolerance fabricated items is excellent. It is suitable for mechanical parts that require structural strength.
